Cause and Color Chart for Ribbons


Yellow Ribbon - Most commonly associated with Supporting our troops, this ribbon is also a symbol for MIA/POW, suicide prevention, adoptive parents, spina bifida, missing children, endometriosis, and a general symbol for hope 

Red Ribbon - Most commonly associated with the fight against Aids and HIV. Lately it also has been widely associated with Heart Disease.  It's also a symbol for substance abuse, MADD, DARE, Epidermolysis Bullosa 

Orange Ribbon - This color is a symbol of Prader-Willi syndrome, leukemia, hunger, lupus, and cultural diversity 
Green Ribbon - This color is commonly associated with tissue/organ donation. It is also associated with environmental concerns, kidney cancer, childhood depression, missing children, and worker and driving safety 

Dark Blue Ribbon - This color is a symbol of child abuse prevention, arthritis, Colon or Prostate Cancer Awareness,. victim's rights, free speech, water quality, domestic violence, and water safety 
Purple Ribbon - This color is a symbol of pancreatic cancer, domestic violence, religious tolerance, animal abuse, the victims of 9/11 including the police and firefighters, Crohn's disease and colitis, cystic fibrosis, lupus, arnold chiari malformation & fibromyalgia
White Ribbon - This color is a symbol of innocence, victims of terrorism, peace, right to life, diabetes, alzheimers, and retinal blastoma 

Black Ribbon - This color is a symbol of mourning, melanoma, and anti-gangs 
Brown Ribbon - This color is a symbol for colon cancer and also known as an anti-tobacco symbol 
Gray Ribbon - This color is a symbol of diabetes and brain cancer 
Pale Yellow Ribbon - This color is a symbol of spina bifida 
Light Blue Ribbon - This color is a symbol of childhood cancer, prostate cancer, Trisomy 18, and scleoderma 
Periwinkle Ribbon - This color is a symbol of eating disorders and pulmonary hypertension
Lavender Ribbon - This color is a symbol for epilepsy and Rett syndrome
Teal Ribbon - This color is a symbol for ovarian, cervical, and uterine cancers as well as substance abuse, sexual assault, and polycystic ovarian syndrome 
Pearl Ribbon - This color is a symbol for lung cancer and multiple sclerosis
Silver Ribbon - This color is a symbol awareness of brain disorders and disabilities.  Also, for children with disabilities and Parkinson's disease, as well as disabilities resulting from injuries or birth trauma, schizophrenia, Huntington's, epilepsy, depression, etc).   
Gold Ribbon - This color is a symbol for childhood cancer 
Jigsaw Puzzle Ribbon - This style of ribbon is a symbol for autism
